Fry Bread Tacos
Some people just like the fry bread with honey drizzled over it, but at stands throughout Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico, you will come across the deep-fried bread loaded with these taco ingredients, which makes for one filling meal. Heat the beans and cook the ground beef and cover before you make the fry bread so that the bread doesn't get soggy and you can serve everything hot together. Serves 4.
Heat pinto beans and salas together in a small saucepan until hot; cover to keep warm. Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium-high heat, mix taco seasoning with ground beef and brown until meat is cooked all the way through. Make fry bread according to recipe. While still hot, layer with bean mixture, ground beef, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onion and a dollop of sour cream.
